Leytonstone shared news of a new partnership with three local supermarkets for their Community Fridge, significantly increasing the volume of surplus food rescued each week.
IG3 updated the group on their Pedal Power demonstrations, which are now booked into 12 schools this term. They also announced a new Upcycled Fashion Show planned for July.
Tooting confirmed planning is underway for Foodival 2025, and called for volunteers and food stall applications.
FP&CE introduced themselves to several groups for the first time and described the re-emergence of their group around Edible Landscapes London and the Meadow Orchard Project.
Joint planning: the group agreed to coordinate a London-wide Repair Week in October, with each member group running at least one event. A shared social media template will be prepared by Tooting.
The next meeting will be on the third Thursday of May at 7pm. Zoom link will be sent to the mailing list.
